The following incidents occurred on Saturday, June 10th, 2017:
Motor Vehicle Crash - Personal Injury:
At 4:01 AM, Deputies responded to a call where a subject had jumped out of a moving vehicle at W3400 STH 11, Town of Sylvester. The driver, Justin D. Brown, 33, of Monroe, reported that he was slowing down and traveling about 15 mph when his passenger, Shane A. Chesebro, 36, of Monroe, opened the door and jumped out of the vehicle. Chesebro was injured, but declined medical attention. Chesebro was not wearing his seat belt. Brown was not injured and was wearing his seat belt. The air bags did not deploy in the vehicle. There was no damage to the vehicle and it was driven from the scene.
At 5:10 PM, Deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding in the N9000 block of STH 69, Town of New Glarus. Investigation resulted in Anthony Carrera, 39, of Oswega, IL, being cited for Operating Without a Valid Driver’s License. He was released pending court.
At 7:24 PM, Deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding in the W500 block of STH 92, Town of Brooklyn. Jeremy L. Hartwig, 29, of Belleville, was cited for Operating After Suspension. He was released pending court.
Motor Vehicle Crash:
At 8:12 PM, Deputies responded to the N4900 block of Ringhand Road, Town of Mount Pleasant, for a motor vehicle crash. A truck driven by Aron R. L. Thompson, 26, of Monroe, was going westbound when some deer entered the road. Thompson reported that he swerved to avoid the deer and went into the north ditch, where he struck a guide wire. Thompson was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt. There was no airbag deployment. The truck sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene. Alliant Energy responded to the scene to fix the guide wire.
