The following incidents occurred on Thursday, June 15th, 2017:
At 2:45 PM, Deputies arrested SeanCody L. Anderson, 22, of Darlington, for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, following the execution of a search warrant for a safe. Anderson was booked into Green County Jail where he posted bond and was released. The Sheriff's Office K9 Unit assisted in the investigation.
Motor Vehicle Crash - Personal Injury:
At 7:24 AM, Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash in the W4600 block of Exeter Crossing Rd., Town of Exeter. Investigation revealed that Michael S. Brace, 36, of Belleville, was eastbound on Exeter Crossing on 06/14/17, at approximately 10:00 PM, when he swerved to miss a deer in the roadway. Brace lost control of the vehicle and collided with brush and small trees. As the vehicle continued, it struck a stop sign for bicycle traffic on the Sugar River bicycle trail, traveled across the trail, and collided with brush and trees before coming to rest. Brace fled the scene on foot.
The vehicle sustained very severe damage, with airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene. Brace was injured in the crash, but declined medical attention. Brace reported that he was using his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Brace was cited for Failure to Notify Police of an Accident and Failure to Keep Vehicle Under Control. Brace was released pending court.
At 6:57 PM, Deputies took a report of a burglary at a residence in the N700 block of CTH M, Town of Cadiz. It was reported that two male subjects kicked open a door to the residence. The one male was described as wearing a red, hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses. The subjects fled in an older model, black, mid-size car. At 8:30 PM, Deputies responded to a burglary to a residence in the N2000 block of Alphorn Rd., Town of Clarno. Investigation revealed that forced entry was made to the residence. Anyone with information on the case or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area should contact the Sheriff’s Office at 608-328-9400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-7463.
