The following incidents occurred on Friday, June 16th, 2017:
Motor Vehicle Crash
At 11:20 AM Deputies responded to a 2 vehicle crash that occurred in the W100 block of STH 81, Town of Spring Grove.
Investigation revealed that Ronald D. Moore, 77, of Apple River, IL was east bound and stopped in the lane of traffic and waiting for a vehicle in front of him to turn when he was rear ended by a vehicle operated by Roger D. Bradley III, 17, of Brodhead.
Moore was wearing his seat belt and was not injured in the crash. The air bags did not deploy in Moore’s vehicle. Moore’s vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene. Bradley was not injured in the crash and was wearing his seat belt. The air bags in Bradley’s vehicle did not deploy. Bradley's vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. Bradley was cited for following too closely and operate a motor vehicle without proof of insurance and was released pending court. The Brodhead Police Department and the Rock County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
At 3:47 PM deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding in the N9000 block of STH 69, Town of New Glarus. Deakarr D. Jackson Williams, 21, of Beloit, was cited for operating after suspension. He was released pending court.
At 9:12 PM deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding in the N700 block of STH 69, Town of Clarno. Daisy H. Aguilar, 16, of Albany was cited no operating without a valid driver’s license and no insurance. Aguilar was released pending court.
At 10:23 PM deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 3000 block of STH 69 in the City of Monroe. Investigation resulted in James D. Quesada, 34, of Rockford being cited for speeding, possession of Marijuana and possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Quesada was released pending court.
At 11:26 PM deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 3000 block of STH 69, in the City of Monroe. Investigation resulted in Mitchell J. Barradas, 19, of Monroe being cited for no Insurance, no tail lights, and possession of drug paraphernalia. A 15 year old passenger in the vehicle was cited for underage possession of tobacco. A 16 year old passenger in the vehicle was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. All 3 subjects were released pending court. The Monroe Police Department K9 unit assisted at the scene.
